Over the weekend, Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton (as the Clarence House Press Office directed she be identified) released a handful of "official engagement portraits."
The pix were shot by fashion photographer Mario Testino, who photographed the prince's mother -- Princess Diana -- many times and is a go-to guy for high-fashion shoots and celebrity cover shots.
"I am very happy to have been asked to cover this historic moment that the whole world was waiting for," said Testino. "They are in their prime and brimming with happiness. I have never felt so much joy as when I see them together."
Okay, well, that's sad. But maybe the guy is sick and tired of shooting fashion mag covers? Kate Moss, Sarah Jessica Parker and Anne Hathaway are perhaps like interchangeable mannequins to him at this point and he's longing for a humble career as a wedding photographer?
It could happen.
